Yoga For Wellbeing

2nd Friday of the month, 1.15–2.15pm
Shrublands Community Centre, Gorleston
Free to attend

Yoga for Wellbeing is a free community yoga class in Norfolk designed to support mental health and overall wellbeing. Each month we explore gentle movement, breathing techniques and guided relaxation to help ease stress and anxiety, calm the mind, and bring balance back into daily life.

The class is open to everyone. You don’t need any previous experience of yoga – just curiosity and a willingness to see how these practices can help you feel better in daily life. Whether you are looking for tools to manage stress, improve your mood, or simply create an hour of peace for yourself each month, this class offers a welcoming space to explore yoga at your own pace.

Thanks to funding from Love Norfolk and Norfolk Community Foundation, the class is free of charge. As part of our Health and Wellbeing CIC Norfolk work, we are also able to offer free one-to-one therapeutic yoga sessions for anyone seeking more personalised support with their mental health. These sessions are often recommended through NHS social prescribing yoga and can be a valuable tool alongside other forms of care.

Whether you’re interested in yoga for stress, exploring mindfulness through movement, or connecting with a supportive community, this class offers a gentle, restorative approach.

Movement for Chronic Pain & Fatigue

4th Friday of the Month, 1.15–2.15pm
Shrublands Community Centre, Gorleston
Free to attend

This gentle class is designed for anyone living with chronic pain or fatigue. Whether you experience conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, or simply ongoing aches and low energy, this class offers a supportive space to move at your own pace.

You don’t need any previous experience, and every part of the session can be adapted – with the option to take part seated in a chair or on a yoga mat. We’ll explore gentle movement, breathing practices, mindfulness and nervous system regulation to help you feel more comfortable in your body, one step at a time.

The focus is on working with your body rather than pushing against it, learning to listen, adapt, and even befriend your body again. Each person will be supported to find what feels right for them, with plenty of space to rest whenever needed.

Thanks to funding from Love Norfolk, this class is free of charge and open to all. The funding also means we can offer free one-to-one yoga therapy sessions – for those who don’t yet feel ready to join a group, or for anyone who comes to class and would like to explore more deeply how yoga can support them. Email us to find out more about one to ones.
